If you’re in the market to replace the battery in your Beamer, you should always choose a reliable shop like the team at Euromotive.
Of course, when you drive The Ultimate Driving Machine, you also want to make sure that you have a reliable battery to power such a beautiful vehicle. The battery in your BMW is responsible for everything from powering accessories to starting and keeping the engine running, making it an asset that you can’t afford to live without. Whether you’re having issues or just want to get a status check, feel free to stop in and let us take a look at your battery to make sure that it’s delivering the performance that you deserve.
We can test and inspect your battery and all of its related components and even address issues when they do arise. You don’t want to end up stranded on the side of the road with a dead battery, but it unfortunately happens too often. When it does, you can count on Euromotive to be there when you bring your BMW to us.
Although the manufacturer recommendations may vary slightly from one specific model to the next, the general rule of thumb is to have your battery checked once or twice a year. Of course, here in South Florida, the extreme heat and humidity can cause a lot of unexpected issues so you may need to schedule service sooner than expected.
Typically, batteries will last from two to six years. Original BMW battery models will have a longer lifespan than aftermarket replacements. We always recommend changing or at least thoroughly inspecting your battery every 3-4 years to ensure that it’s running at its best and not at the risk of leaving you stranded somewhere.
One of the biggest questions people have is why their battery is failing, or more importantly, what’s actually going on with the vehicle. Even the battery acting up could point to other issues, such as electrical problems or the start of an alternator going bad, so you can never assume anything. Let the team at Euromotive accurately diagnose and resolve the issue for you right away.
Typically, BMW likes to keep batteries in the trunk, under the liner. This allows them to have the space required, and there will often be positive terminals in the engine that can offer a jump-start point or testing place for the battery when you don’t want to remove the entire trunk liner.
Some models will have a battery under the hood, where as in models like the 5 series and the X3, it will be in the trunk where it has the space it needs. Regardless of its location, though, it’s important to have it tested and replaced when needed to keep your BMW in its best condition.
